The Sanctuary Montessori started in September 2013 with a total of 5 learners (2 girls and 3 boys ) from the living room of the proprietor Rev. Prosper Asamoah.

Later that year, the school moved from the living room of the proprietor to its first campus; Premium campus. From five (5) learners the school started sitting about seventy (70) learners at the end of the first year.

The school operated from the Premium Campus for some 2 years. With growth there was a need for extra space to contain the numbers and new classes. The Prominent campus was hence opened. Following this, Prestige, Provident and Progressive campuses were also started.

In the 10 years of the operations of The Sanctuary Montessori, the school has grown from 5 learners to about a thousand (1000) learners and 200 staff members.
